A talking boat,

an indecisive hero,

a dragon with a thousand coils,

a girl who knows the right spells,

a very nervous dove,

and some wool…

When Jason’s uncle wants him gone for good he sets him an impossible task – to steal the golden fleece. Jason sets sail in a boat built by a goddess, crewed by the heroes from brawny Hercules to musical maestro, Orpheus. In the end, it takes a clever girl who knows her herbs and a couple of scheming deities to bring them home alive.

Join Sarah Rundle, Lucy Lill and Alys Torrance as we cast off on a voyage to the ends of the world (it’s flat, right?) and vie with each other to make you laugh, groan, gasp and cheer as we battle whirlpools, monsters, dragons, snakes, suspicious royalty, and, worst of all, a really bad crush on a stranger.

Story Jam has a secret* identity, working with The Latin Programme, in innercity London primary schools. Every term the children and teachers prove you don’t have to be a child to love a story. And you don’t have to be an adult to understand an old one. Last Summer, we helped them make The Aeneas Project – which saw the children telling and acting out The Aeneid, in a film that was launched at the BFI. They think big! Now The Latin Programme have invited Story Jam to tell an evening of stories around a fire, while dusk falls around us, as part of this year’s Jason project. We would love to see you there. Who knows? You may end up on the big screen!

This event is for ALL ages (7- 107 yrs is our ideal age range, but younger siblings welcome too.)
